On December 1, information from the Ministry of National Defense said that there were Submissions No. 5026/TTr-BQP, No. 5027/TTr-BQP, No. 5028/TTr-BQP, No. 5029/TTr-BQP submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and submitted to the President to award the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" and the title "Hero of Labor" to 21 collectives and individuals.
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 46 of Decree No. 98/2023/ND-CP dated December 31, 2023 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Emulation and Commendation, the Ministry of Home Affairs has consulted the people on awarding the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" and the title "Hero of Labor" to these 21 collectives and individuals.
Accordingly, there are 5 groups proposed to be awarded the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" during the resistance war against French colonialism, including:
People and armed forces of Dong Son commune, Dong Son district, Thai Binh province; People and armed forces of Phu Luong commune, Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province; People and armed forces of Dong Hoang commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province; People and armed forces of Viet Hoa commune, Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province; People and armed forces of Dan Tien commune, Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province.
There are 2 individuals proposed to be posthumously awarded the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" during the resistance war against French colonialism, including:
Mr. Doan Tue - former Deputy of Artillery Department, former Deputy Commander of Battalion 410, Inter-zone 10; Mr. Hoang Van Thuong - former Party Cell Secretary and Chairman of the Administrative Resistance Committee of Hiep Hoa commune, Kim Dong district (now Viet Hoa commune, Khoai Chau district), Hung Yen province.
There is a collective proposed to be awarded the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" during the period of resistance against the US to save the country: Factory V127, Department of Military Armaments, General Department of Logistics (now Factory Z127, General Department of Defense Industry), Ministry of National Defense.
There are 8 individuals proposed to be posthumously awarded the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" during the resistance war against America to save the country.
They are: Colonel Tran The Mon (Tran Dinh Thin), former Political Commissar of the Central Highlands Front (B3) - Army Corps 3, Ministry of National Defense; Colonel Ho De (Ho Quang Chinh), former Division Commander of Division 10, Central Highlands Front (B3) - Army Corps 3, Ministry of National Defense; Martyr Dam Vu Hiep, former Battalion Commander of Battalion 8, Regiment 64, Division 320, Central Highlands Front (B3), Ministry of National Defense; Martyr Dang Dinh Chuc, former Soldier of Company 11, Battalion 3, Regiment 48, Division 320, Central Highlands Front (B3), Ministry of National Defense; Major General Hoang The Thien (Luu Van Thi, Hoang Dan), former Political Commissar of Army Corps 4, Ministry of National Defense; Major Truong Van Dang (Nam Dang), former Regiment Commander of Regiment 2, Division 9, Army Corps 4, Ministry of National Defense; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Phuong, former Commander of Group 763 (K20), former Deputy Commander of Division 470, Truong Son Command, Ministry of National Defense; Major General Phan Quang Tiep (Vu Dung), former Commander of Regiment 98, Command 559, Ministry of National Defense.
There are 4 collectives proposed to be awarded the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" in the renovation period.
They are: Ho Chi Minh City Armed Forces, Military Region 7, Ministry of National Defense; Military Hospital 103, Military Medical Academy, Ministry of National Defense; Intensive Care Unit (A12), Military Hospital 175, Ministry of National Defense; Political Officer School, Ministry of National Defense.
There is one collective proposed to be awarded the title "Hero of Labor" in the renovation period, which is: Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation, Military Industry - Telecommunications Group, Ministry of National Defense.
