242 officials and workers in Phu Yen apply for early retirement

Currently, Phu Yen has 242 cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers who wish to retire early to reorganize and streamline the apparatus.

On February 12, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Phu Yen province reported on civil servants, public employees and workers (CCVCNLD) voluntarily applying for early retirement and resignation according to Decree 178/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 of the Government.

The total number of civil servants and public employees voluntarily applying for early retirement and resignation according to Decree 178/ND-CP from 2025 to 2030 is 118 people, including 81 civil servants, 35 public employees and 2 contract workers. The total estimated budget for implementing policies and regimes is more than 148 billion VND.

Of which, the Forestry Sub-Department is the unit with the largest number of civil servants and employees voluntarily applying for early retirement or resignation, with 54 people.

The list of civil servants who wish to retire early or quit their jobs is prepared by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Phu Yen province, after the Provincial People's Committee issues specific criteria for beneficiaries of this policy; Decision to promulgate regulations on functions, tasks and organizational structure of the Department of Agriculture and Environment and its affiliated agencies and units. By December 2024, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Phu Yen province has 220 civil servants and 202 officials working at 5 Protection Forest Management Boards, 3 centers, 6 sub-departments, the Forest Protection and Development Fund Agency, and the New Rural Coordination Office.

On the same day, a representative of the Department of Home Affairs of Phu Yen province said that up to now, the province has 242 civil servants voluntarily applying for early retirement and resignation according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP. Of which, 212 cadres applied for early retirement and 30 cadres applied for immediate resignation.

Previously, at a meeting with press agencies on the occasion of the Spring of At Ty 2025, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa An - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Phu Yen province said that the province has completed the plan and project on the organization and apparatus arrangement and has submitted it to the Central Government for approval.

At the same time, it was reported that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee had received applications for early retirement from a number of officials to streamline the apparatus.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the restructuring and consolidation of the apparatus is to make it more streamlined and work more effectively and efficiently, not to regress.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa An also encouraged cadres who were assessed as not completing their tasks to voluntarily resign, giving opportunities for excellent cadres to contribute and serve the organization and apparatus, bringing the highest efficiency to the development of the province.
