3 provinces in the West continue to make recommendations in the land sector

Leaders of the three provinces of Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, and Tra Vinh proposed that central ministries and branches remove difficulties and obstacles in the land sector.

On October 11, in Soc Trang province, the Government delegation led by Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son had a working session with the three provinces of Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Tra Vinh on promoting production and business, public investment, infrastructure construction and import and export.

At the meeting, representatives of Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Tra Vinh provinces reported on the socio-economic situation, production and business results, public investment disbursement, infrastructure construction and import and export in the first 9 months of 2024.

The provinces also recommended to relevant ministries, branches and central agencies to issue documents guiding the handling of difficulties in the procedures for implementing the construction, amendment and supplementation of land price lists; organizing auctions of land use rights; changing the form of annual land rent payment to one-time payment, land lease and change of land use purpose, etc.

Provincial leaders also made recommendations on difficulties and obstacles to wind power projects; funding for construction of works to prevent landslides, saltwater intrusion, and infrastructure for aquaculture areas...

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son acknowledged and commended the achievements of Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Tra Vinh provinces in the past 9 months. The socio-economic development indicators are positive; the disbursement rate of public investment capital is approximately the national average...

The Minister suggested that in the last 3 months of the year, localities need to focus on disbursing public investment capital to meet the plan, flexibly transfer capital to projects with prolonged implementation time and slow disbursement; speed up the implementation of key projects; remove difficulties and obstacles for people and businesses, etc.

Regarding opinions and recommendations from localities, the Delegation will record and make recommendations to the Government and the Prime Minister.
