The National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 1104/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period of Nam Dinh province .
Implementing Resolution 1104/NQ-UBTVQH15, many commune-level administrative units in districts of Nam Dinh have been reorganized. In Xuan Truong district , communes have been reorganized according to regulations.
Accordingly, 9 communes in Xuan Truong district have been arranged into 3 new communes. They are:
Xuan Giang commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 5.27 km2 and the population of 8,461 people of Xuan Dai commune; the entire natural area of 5.94 km2 and the population of 11,080 people of Xuan Phong commune and the entire natural area of 3.58 km2 and the population of 5,783 people of Xuan Thuy commune. After establishment, Xuan Giang commune had a natural area of 14.79 km2 and a population of 25,324 people.
Xuan Phuc commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 5.41 km2 and the population of 10,712 people of Xuan Hoa commune; the entire natural area of 3.53 km2 and the population of 9,693 people of Xuan Kien commune and the entire natural area of 3.53 km2 and the population of 14,170 people of Xuan Tien commune. After establishment, Xuan Phuc commune had a natural area of 12.47 km2 and a population of 34,575 people.
Tra Lu commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 3.18 km2 and the population of 8,843 people of Xuan Bac commune; the entire natural area of 2.21 km2 and the population of 9,497 people of Xuan Trung commune and the entire natural area of 2.84 km2 and the population of 7,286 people of Xuan Phuong commune. After establishment, Tra Lu commune had a natural area of 8.23 km2 and a population of 25,626 people.
After the arrangement, Xuan Truong district has 14 commune-level administrative units, including 13 communes and 1 town (reduced by 6 communes).
According to Lao Dong reporters' research, Resolution 1104/NQ-UBTVQH15 will officially take effect from September 1, 2024. New administrative units have completed personnel restructuring.
Accordingly, at the first session of the People's Council of Xuan Phuc commune, term I, term 2021-2026, delegates successfully selected and elected the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Council, Head, Vice Head of the People's Council; Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, member of the People's Committee of the commune, ensuring the quantity, standards and structure according to regulations.
Tra Lu Commune People's Council held its first session, term I, term 2021-2026, to elect the leadership positions of the People's Council and People's Committee of the commune. The session elected the Chairman of the People's Council, 3 Vice Chairmen of the People's Council; elected the Chairman of the People's Committee, 4 Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee; Heads and Deputy Heads of the People's Council Committees of the commune with a high rate of confidence votes.
The first session of the People's Council of Xuan Giang commune, term I, 2021-2026, elected the Chairman of the People's Council; 3 Vice Chairmen of the People's Council; elected the Chairman of the People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee; Heads; Deputy Heads of the People's Council Committees with a high rate of confidence votes.
