On March 26, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - had a working session with leaders of 5 key political press agencies: Nhan Dan Newspaper, Communist Magazine, Vietnam News Agency, Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television.
Reporting on the results of the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, Mr. Tong Van Thanh - Head of the Department of Press and Publishing (Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee) said: Immediately after the Central Committee issued Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, 5 key political press agencies developed plans and implemented the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus.
The apparatus of Nhan Dan Newspaper after the arrangement and streamlining of the organization, will be reduced from 25 affiliated units to 15 units. The Politburo issued Decision No. 218-QD/TW stipulating the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of Nhan Dan Newspaper.
After receiving the functions and tasks of the Central Party Committees, Communist Magazine will continue to implement the arrangement and streamlining of the operating apparatus, with the Editorial Board and 13 affiliated department-level units; only keep the department level at the unit as necessary.
Vietnam News Agency (VNA) after the arrangement, the organizational structure of affiliated units will be reduced, 4 units (from 26 to 22 units), unit units at the department level and equivalent; end the operation of the News Agency, study restructuring, rearrange and add functions and tasks to the News Agency Development Center to enhance the ability to provide digital content information products and new services.
The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) after the reorganization and streamlining will reduce to 21 units. Compared to Decree No.2/2022/ND-CP, the organizational structure of VOV reduces 5 affiliated units and renoms some affiliated units to suit the actual situation.
After the arrangement and streamlining of the organization, Vietnam Television (VTV) reduced to 23 department-level units (reduced by 6 department-level units). VTV has received the functions and tasks of Nhan Dan Television, National Assembly Television, News Television, VOV Television, VTC Digital Television.
Speaking at the working session, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged and highly appreciated the active, proactive and timely participation of key political press agencies in propagating the implementation of political tasks according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the double-digit economic growth target, new policies and guidelines of the Party such as Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, private economic development and the organization of a summary of the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW.
According to the Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, in implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, the press must take the lead. And the strongest force to do this work is the main press agencies. In the past, key press agencies have done this job well and in the coming time, they need to continue to promote, diversify and be richer.
Not only doing a good job of propaganda, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia also highly appreciated the great efforts of press agencies, especially key press agencies in pioneering, seriously implementing and implementing in a short time the Party and State's policies in streamlining the organizational apparatus.
