On November 12, the Truth National Political Publishing House in collaboration with the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam held a book launching ceremony for 65 years of fostering the loyal and exemplary friendship between Vietnam and Cuba.
The book has a capacity of more than 200 large pages, gathering many valuable sources of documents and images, including three main parts.
Part 1: President Ho Chi Minh - President Fidel Castro: The person who laid the historical foundation for the Vietnam - Cuba relationship.
Part 2: 65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship, a special and exemplary solidarity relationship.
Third part: Imprints of historic visits by Vietnamese and Cuban leaders.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam - Director, Editor-in-Chief of the Truth National Political Publishing House - emphasized that today, in the context of many changes in the world, the special and loyal friendship between the two countries is a solid support for Vietnam and Cuba to always stand side by side, continue to steadfastly build, protect socialism and the socio-economic development of each country, contributing to common efforts for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
The book contributes to enhancing information and propaganda about the significance and importance of the traditional solidarity, special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba; educating the younger generations of the two countries to always respect, preserve and further develop the special, exemplary and loyal relationship between the two peoples.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes affirmed that the book is an excellent contribution to preserving historical memories and the special solidarity and friendship between the two peoples, initiated by President Ho Chi Minh and leader Fidel Castro, and is a very meaningful initiative on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba.
The book introduced many typical documents and images about historical visits as well as exchanges between leaders of the two countries.
Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes congratulated the Truth National Political Publishing House for launching the book on the occasion of the important anniversary; and expressed his deep gratitude to the Publishing House for its persistent and important contributions over the years through the publishing of publications on history, the country, the people of Cuba and translating and publishing Vietnamese works into Spanish to introduce to Cuban readers.
