On May 30, a national scientific conference was held in Hanoi "100 years of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism accompanying the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation".
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council - emphasized that the workshop is an activity of great practical significance, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that the delegates focus on analyzing and deeply evaluating, affirming the great contributions of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh.
In the process of national renewal, the press has constantly affirmed its role as a pioneer force on the front of cultural ideology.
Not only a means of communication, the press is also a bridge between the Party, the State and the people. The press promotes its role as a leader, orienting public opinion, and building social consensus.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang also emphasized the need to honor, express gratitude and encourage the team of journalists to continue promoting the glorious tradition, worthy of being a pioneer soldier on the front of information and cultural ideology.
On the journey to carry out their noble duties, hundreds of journalists have heroically fallen on the fierce battlefields in the cause of struggle, national liberation, national reunification and national defense.
During the most intense years of the war under the slogan that each journalist was a soldier on the front line of cultural ideology, journalists held a pen and a gun and took a knife to commit to the front line, becoming a bridge between the battlefield and the rear, between truth and justice.
Continuing that glorious tradition, today the team of journalists continues to affirm their shock role in the fight against corruption, waste and negativity.
Without danger, many journalists and press agencies have pledged, investigated, and persistently pursued to the end to expose violations, contribute to cleaning up the apparatus, protecting justice, maintaining discipline, and strengthening people's trust in the Party and the State.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized that these are vivid evidence of the spirit of courage, responsibility for self-sacrifice and loyalty to the revolutionary ideas of soldiers on the information front in the new era of development.
At the same time, it is necessary to summarize valuable lessons learned through the 100-year history of the formation and development of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.
First of all, always be steadfast in its role as the voice of the Party, State and people, a sharp tool on the front of ideology, culture, information and communication.
Second, build a team of journalists who are both rosy and specialized, dedicated, alert, and have steadfast political will; not afraid to sacrifice for great ideals, creating a glorious tradition, identity and prestige of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.
Third, always stick to reality, reflect honestly, thereby contributing to promoting the thinking of encouraging new things, criticizing backward things; creating a channel of positive criticism, contributing to helping the Party and State determine the correct policy guidelines.
Fourth, constantly innovate content and form, proactively adapt to the strong development of technology and modern communication needs, maintaining influence and social efficiency.
"These are profound lessons, a solid foundation for the Vietnamese revolutionary press to continue promoting the glorious tradition," Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized.
Fifth, propose solutions to build and develop the Vietnamese revolutionary press in the new era.
