Kien Giang Provincial Party Secretary becomes Can Tho City Party Secretary

On the afternoon of January 17, at Can Tho City Party Committee, a conference was held to announce the Politburo's Decision on personnel work.

Attending the event were Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee; Mr. Do Trong Hung - Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee and the working delegation.

At the Conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Do Trong Hung, authorized by the Politburo, announced the Politburo's Decision on personnel work.

Accordingly, the Politburo decided that comrade Do Thanh Binh - member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Kien Giang province, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term; transferred, assigned and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.

Speaking at the Conference, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung congratulated Mr. Do Thanh Binh on being assigned the new task of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The Head of the Central Organizing Committee said that this is the Politburo's trust and recognition of comrade Do Thanh Binh.

The Head of the Central Organizing Committee stated that the Politburo also requested and suggested that comrades in the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee, leaders at all levels and sectors of Can Tho City continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, sharing, support and assistance so that comrade Do Thanh Binh, in his position as Secretary of the City Party Committee, can focus on leading, directing and successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, the Resolution of the 14th Can Tho Party Congress, and continue to develop Can Tho further in the coming time.

In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, Do Thanh Binh, seriously accepted all the instructions and assigned tasks from the Head of the Central Organizing Committee and the Can Tho City Party Committee.

The new Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee is deeply aware that the assigned task is a big one, and at the same time a heavy responsibility in the face of the trust and expectations of the Party and State leaders, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Party Committee, the Government and the people of the city.

"To fulfill the assigned responsibilities and tasks, I myself must continue to make efforts, be determined to strive, uphold the pioneering spirit, be exemplary, be open-minded, wholeheartedly serve the people with the Party, for the benefit of the Party Committee, for the people of the city with the Standing Committee of the Standing Committee", the new Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee emphasized.

Also at the Conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Do Trong Hung, authorized by the Politburo, announced the Politburo's Decision on Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee - ceasing to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, ceasing to hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term; transferring and assigning him to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.
