The Ministry of Public Security requires police units and localities to strongly suppress all types of crimes, especially " Street Crime" during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

On April 23, the Minister of Public Security issued a telegram directing the work of ensuring security and order during the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (May 30), International Labor Day (May); in which he requested the police chiefs of units and localities to focus on performing well the key work.

According to the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal, the Minister of Public Security requested serious and effective implementation of the Plan and the Ministry's directives on ensuring security and order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

Ensure absolute security and safety for the activities of Party and State leaders, international delegations, key goals and projects, headquarters of Party agencies, authorities, diplomatic agencies and a series of commemorative events, resolutely not to be passive, surprised, or make mistakes even the smallest.

Grasp the situation, promptly detect, fight, prevent plots and activities of terrorism, sabotage, gathering, and protesting causing insecurity and disorder.

Do a good job of managing entry and exit, creating conditions for people to travel and visit relatives and travel, while thoroughly preventing subjects from entering and leaving the country from violating national security and criminal activities.

Increase armed patrols to deter, prevent crimes and promptly detect and handle incidents arising right from the grassroots. Organize attacks and strongly suppress all types of crimes, especially " street crimes", crimes that take advantage of event locations, tourist attractions, festivals, and crowded places for activities.

Implement well the management of residence; prevent and combat violations of weapons and explosives. Ensure security and safety of detention facilities, educational facilities, reform schools, and drug rehabilitation facilities.

Organize traffic flow and regulation, do not let traffic congestion occur at gateways of major cities, tourist destinations, bus stations, terminals, airports, especially before and after the holidays;

Prevent and stop groups of teenagers from gathering to drive motorbikes at high speeds and weaving, causing complications in security, order and danger to traffic participants; strictly handle violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents, resolutely build traffic discipline.

Strengthen fire prevention and fighting; prepare forces and means for fire fighting, rescue and relief in a timely manner, especially locations for holding commemorative activities and crowded places.

Police units and localities strengthen on-duty work, on-duty, tighten discipline, order, comply with regulations, rules, and work processes; ensure smooth and timely command information.
