Customs apparatus of Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces after merger

After the merger, the customs of Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces will be the Customs Branch of Region VI.

On the afternoon of March 13, in Lang Son city, the Customs Department held a conference to announce decisions on the organization of the apparatus and personnel work of the Customs Branch of Region VI.

This is a new unit established after merging the Lang Son Provincial Customs Department and the Cao Bang Provincial Customs Department. At the conference, representatives of the Customs Department announced Decision 966/QD-BTC of the Ministry of Finance on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of regional customs branches.

According to the decision, the Customs Branch of Region VI will include 7 affiliated units: Office, Department of Organization and Personnel, Department of Information Technology, Department of Risk Management, Department of Customs Affairs, Customs Control Team and Post-clearance Examination and Inspection Team.

In addition, this branch also manages 10 customs units at and outside border gates in Lang Son and Cao Bang provinces, including important border gates such as Huu Nghi, Tan Thanh, Coc Nam, Chi Ma, Tra Linh, Ta Lung, Soc Giang, Po Peo, Ly Van.

The Customs Department also announced the decision to appoint 5 Deputy Heads of the Customs Branch of Region VI, with the appointment term starting from March 15, 2025. This is an important step in reorganizing the organization and improving the operational efficiency of the customs sector in the Northern border area.

The leadership of the Customs Branch of Region VI includes:

Head of the Department: Mr. Nguyen Van Hoan (born in 1973, Director of Lang Son Provincial Customs Department) holds the position of Head of the Customs Department of Region VI.

Deputy Heads of Departments include:

Mr. Le Viet Phong (born in 1967, Director of the Cao Bang Provincial Customs Department), the appointment term is until retirement.

Mr. Vy Cong Tuong (born in 1965, Deputy Director of Lang Son Provincial Customs Department), the appointment term is until retirement.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Vuong (born in 1969, Deputy Director of Lang Son Provincial Customs Department), the appointment term is 5 years.

Mr. Ma Thanh Giang (born in 1970, Deputy Director of the Cao Bang Provincial Customs Department), the appointment term is 5 years.

Mr. Nguyen The Bang (born in 1973, Deputy Director of the Cao Bang Provincial Customs Department), the appointment term is 5 years.
