The Government issued Resolution No. 27/NQ-CP Government meeting in January 2025, which clearly stated urgently to complete the arrangement and streamlining the government apparatus.
In the resolution, the Government requires ministries, agencies and localities, according to their assigned functions, tasks and powers, to organize and implement resolutely, ensuring the progress of tasks related to the arrangement of the apparatus according to the conclusion of the Central Government, Resolutions of the National Assembly, and instructions of the Government and the Prime Minister.
The Government requests that ministries, agencies and local People's Committees not let their work be interrupted or left out, especially those directly related to people, businesses, agencies, organizations and other related units.
Closely monitor in order to promptly handle problems and difficulties arising in the process of consolidation and merger of agencies; Attach the arrangement and streamlining the apparatus with restructuring the staff and renewing the way of organizing the work.
Urgently complete and submit to the Government for promulgation Decrees on the functions, tasks and powers of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government agencies according to the new organizational structure, to be completed before February 15, 2025, ensuring operation from March 1, 2025.
Review and amend according to its competence or propose amendments and supplements to legal documents related to the consolidation of the apparatus.
The Ministry of Home Affairs presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies to complete the draft Law on Government Organization (amended), the Law on Organization of Local Government (amended), the Resolution of the National Assembly on the structure of the Government organization for the 15th National Assembly, the Resolution of the National Assembly on the structure and number of Government members for the 15th National Assembly term, submitted to the National Assembly for approval at the 9th Extraordinary Session.
Closely coordinate with ministries and agencies in the process of drafting and submitting decrees that define the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of ministries, ministerial -level agencies and agencies coverage.
