During the week, on March 20, the Ministry of Public Security organized a public consultation on the consideration of commendation for Lieutenant General Le Minh Hung - former Director of the Department of Police for prison management, compulsory education facilities, and reform schools, Ministry of Public Security.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Security organized a public consultation on awarding the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal to Lieutenant General Le Minh Hung.
Lieutenant General Le Minh Hung was born in 1963, from Ha Tinh. He used to hold the position of Deputy Director General of the General Department of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police (General Department VIII). After the Ministry of Public Security streamlined the apparatus and removed the general department level, he was appointed Director of the Department of Police Management of Prisons, compulsory education institutions, reform schools, Ministry of Public Security (in 2018, at that time he held the rank of Major General).
After more than 6 years of holding the position of Director, in August 2024, Lieutenant General Le Minh Hung received a decision from the Minister of Public Security on retirement.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Ngoc Lam said that Lieutenant General Le Minh Hung, regardless of his position, always excellently completed the assigned tasks, actively and effectively contributing to the achievements of the Department and the Ministry of Public Security.
