Regarding the natural disaster situation, the report of the Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee informed about the tropical depression news (weakened from Storm No. 15).
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1:00 p.m. on December 2, the center of the tropical depression was at about 13.80 Vi Bac, 111.30 Kinh Dong, in the northwest sea area of the Central East Sea. The strongest wind near the tropical depression is level 6 (39-49km/h), gusting to level 8, moving slowly in the South-Southwest direction, about 5km/h.
Regarding the direction and implementation of Official Dispatch No. 36/CD-BCD-BNNMT dated December 1, 2025 of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, the General Staff issued Official Dispatch No. 6990/CD-TM dated December 1, 2025 on responding to floods in the Central region.
The dispatch requires relevant agencies and units to strictly maintain the on-duty regime, proactively monitor and grasp the developments of floods in the Central region; deploy preventive measures to ensure the safety of storms, warehouses, and works under construction. Prepare forces and means to be ready to respond promptly and effectively when situations arise. Ensure absolute safety of people and vehicles while performing tasks.
Regarding the counting of ships, provinces and cities on the sea route from Quang Tri to Ho Chi Minh City coordinated to notify, count, and guide 48,411 vehicles/246,819 people who knew the developments and direction of the tropical depression to proactively move, avoid, and escape from the danger zone.
Of which, anchored at ports: 44,925 ships/207,223 people; At sea activities: 3,486 ships/39,596 people.
Vehicles have received warning information and are moving around the bypass; no vehicles are in the dangerous area.
Regarding tropical depression response, forces and means of combat: 150,395 officers and soldiers (CBCS) (Body: 51,810, Militia: 98,585), 5,465 vehicles of all kinds on duty, ready for rescue missions.
Regarding the work of overcoming the consequences of floods in the Central provinces, during the day, the Ministry of National Defense mobilized: 6,059 officers and soldiers (Body: 3,191, Militia: 2,868)/203 vehicles of all kinds (137 cars, 24 special vehicles, 2 flycams, 40 motorbikes).
Forces helped people in Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa provinces clean and repair 310 houses, 9 government headquarters, 03 medical facilities, 580 km of traffic roads; build 30m of embankment; transport and support 7,980 sets of clothes, 6,500 scarves (15 tons), 150 tons of necessities, 1,430 gifts; medical examination and treatment, medicine for 15 people; start construction of 11 houses (Dak Lak: 9, Gia Lai: 2).
