On the morning of May 11, Member of the Politburo, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired the work between the Politburo's delegation and the Standing Committee of Can Tho City Party Committee, Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee on the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Conference of the XIII Central Party Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman basically agreed with the proposals and recommendations of Can Tho City, Hau Giang, and Soc Trang.

The National Assembly Chairman re- emphasized specific timelines according to the Central Government's policy on ending the operation of district-level agencies, merging provinces and reorganizing commune-level agencies.

Regarding a number of key tasks in the coming time, the National Assembly Chairman noted that Can Tho, Hau Giang and Soc Trang must continue to review and implement drastically to successfully carry out socio-economic development tasks in 2025.

"We must identify socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security, and build a political system as the number one, top priority, along with arrangement and merger, not to let "capital" get caught up in merger and then have a moderate working mentality, not ensuring work", the National Assembly Chairman stated.
