On the morning of February 27, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a meeting to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day (February 27,55 - February 27, 2025); congratulated the police medical officers who were awarded the title of People's Doctor and Meritorious Doctor for the 14th time by the President.
According to the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal, at the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang said that recently, during a visit and working session with the Ministry of Health on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day, General Secretary To Lam gave a very important speech with many new thinking and awareness for our country's health to increasingly develop, meeting the increasingly high requirements in protecting, caring for, and improving people's health in accordance with the Party's policy. These are issues that the People's Public Security (CAND) health sector must take the lead in implementing.
Minister Luong Tam Quang suggested that it is necessary to specify and promptly implement strongly in the entire health system of the People's Public Security the direction of General Secretary To Lam on "Innovation in thinking in the health - health sector is not only about examination and treatment; but more importantly, it is about health care to limit diseases; it is necessary to focus on researching disease prevention measures, improving health, and prolonging life".
At the same time, the People's Public Security Health must continue to innovate strongly, always wondering how to do so that when there is any problem that requires health consultation, the People's Public Security officers and soldiers in particular, and the people in general, want and seek support from the People's Public Security Health facilities.
To do so, we must comprehensively innovate, constantly improve the qualifications of the medical team, service quality, work processes, technology application, etc.
The Minister requested to continuously improve the quality of protection, care, improve the health of officers and soldiers, and increase contributions to the health care of the people. In particular, promoting nursing work to provide comprehensive health care, early detection of diseases; paying attention to implementing good preventive medicine, environmental sanitation, and disease prevention.
Develop traditional medicine combined with modern medicine; promote research on folk remedies, expand the model of combining east-west medicine to improve the effectiveness of disease examination and treatment.
Promote digital transformation in managing the public health system; deploy electronic medical records, synchronize health data between Grade I hospitals and medical facilities; increase the application of artificial intelligence and big data in disease diagnosis, treatment and analysis of epidemic trends.
Actively and effectively participate in receiving the function of state management of drug addiction treatment and post-drug addiction management from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, ensuring increased effectiveness and efficiency of state management of health in the People's Public Security.
Build a team of medical staff in the People's Public Security "deep in medicine, rich in medical ethics, good at medicine", with pure professional ethics, enthusiasm, and dedication to caring for and treating patients.
