On October 16, the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption (SCIC) of Cao Bang province held its 8th session to evaluate SCIC activities in the province and activities in the first 9 months of the year, and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024.
Accordingly, in the past 9 months, Cao Bang Provincial Police have investigated 11 cases/25 defendants for corruption; the People's Procuracy at two levels issued indictments to prosecute 6 cases/12 defendants; the People's Court at two levels tried 9 cases/34 defendants for corruption and position-related crimes; proactively reported and asked for opinions from the Steering Committee on 4 cases.
The Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Prevention of Trafficking in Cao Bang Province has proactively issued a Key Work Program for 2024 to direct the implementation of many important tasks on anti-corruption and prevention of traffic accidents in the area.
The Standing Committee of the Steering Committee and its members proactively implement the work program according to assigned tasks and authorities.
Concluding the meeting, Cao Bang Provincial Party Secretary Tran Hong Minh agreed with the proposal of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee and relevant units in resolving the cases and incidents that the Steering Committee is monitoring and directing. The Steering Committee continues to monitor and direct the cases and incidents; based on their functions and tasks, relevant agencies will implement the conclusions of the 13th Steering Committee Standing Committee meeting.
