On the afternoon of October 20, at the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong reported on the summary of the work of the President's 2021-2026 term.
According to President Luong Cuong, the 2021-2026 term is a special term with many personnel changes at all levels, especially senior personnel of the Party and State, including personnel of the President; with the drastic implementation of the revolution in streamlining the apparatus of the political system in the direction of streamlining, streamlining, effectiveness, efficiency, being close to the people, and closely following the people.
The President introduced personnel to propose to the National Assembly: to elect the Prime Minister and Vice President; to dismiss and elect the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy; to approve the Vice Chairman and members of the National Defense and Security Council.
Based on the resolutions of the National Assembly, the President has decided to appoint and dismiss 59 cases of Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and members of the Government for the 2021-2026 term; remove 1 case; temporarily suspend work, temporarily suspend 2 cases; preside over and hand over appointment decisions, contributing to timely improvement of senior personnel, ensuring the operation of the State apparatus is continuous and smooth.
The President regularly visits and works in many localities across the country to grasp practical situations, directly inspect, direct and orient the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensure national defense - security, foreign affairs and judicial reform of the locality.
During his working trips, the President always paid practical attention to social security work, taking care of policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people in society.
During the 2021-2026 term, the President decided to award: 466,601 Medals and Medals; 6,583 State honorary titles, including 7 Gold Star Medals, 42 Ho Chi Minh Medals, 1,243 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers' titles, 129 People's Armed Forces Hero titles, 13 Labor Heroes of the renovation period.

During the 2021-2026 term, the President has decided to appoint and reappoint 7 Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and 5 Deputy Chief Prosecutors of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
Decision to appoint and reappoint 7 judges of the Supreme People's Court, 12 prosecutors of the Supreme People's Procuracy, 3,800 judges; decision to dismiss 33 judges, remove 1 judge from office.
The President has paid attention to directing the acceleration of the implementation of the 2018 special pardon Law. Since the beginning of his term, the President has issued amnesty decisions to release 31,319 people (an increase of more than 7 times compared to the previous term) 5 times for important events and major holidays, meeting the country's internal and external requirements.
In the coming time, the President said that he will continue to direct the Office of the President to continue to reorganize the apparatus, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and strengthen close coordination between the four Central Offices and the General Secretary's Office, departments, ministries, branches and localities.
