Within the framework of his official visit to the Republic of Peru, on the afternoon of November 12 (local time), President Luong Cuong visited and worked with Viettel Peru Company (Bitel) - a joint venture of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) in Peru.
According to VNA, speaking at the meeting, President Luong Cuong emphasized that under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and regularly and directly the Party Committee and Board of Directors of Viettel, Bitel's officers, employees and workers have promoted the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", intelligence, courage, solidarity, overcoming difficulties and challenges to find creative and different ways of doing things, helping Bitel gradually affirm its position and stand firm in the increasingly "difficult" market in Latin America.
The President said that Bitel's success shows that Vietnam's potential and intelligence can completely reach out to the world and compete equally in international markets. On the other hand, Bitel's success is Vietnam's success and the Peruvian people's trust in Bitel is their trust in Vietnam.

The President emphasized that as Vietnamese people in a foreign land, Bitel cadres and workers are not only Viettel employees but also "ambassadors" of Vietnam, and therefore every action, work and effort of Bitel in the past time has demonstrated the bravery and spirit of Vietnam in general and of the heroic Vietnam People's Army in particular; deeply engraved in the hearts of the Peruvian people the image of a friendly, resilient and trustworthy Vietnam.
The President noted that it is necessary to remember that each step forward of Bitel is a step forward of Vietnam in the international arena, a testament to the intelligence and will of the Vietnamese people, and the image of a modern, dynamic and aspirational Vietnam.
The President requested Bitel to continue to maintain high solidarity and unity within the organization; pay attention to the lives of employees to promote human resources, creating a premise for sustainable growth and development.
Along with that, the President said that Bitel must be aware that in addition to its business mission, it is also a "bridge" for cooperation between Vietnam and Peru, an important partner of Vietnam in APEC economies.
Bitel's leadership in general and each Vietnamese officer, employee and worker in particular must continue to be a cultural "ambassador" in Peru, continue to maintain and enhance the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in Peru; contribute to preserving, maintaining and developing the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries and peoples.
Viettel Peru Company with the brand name Bitel was established in 2011, officially put into operation in 2014 with 100% capital of Viettel. Over the past 10 years, Bitel has contributed to popularizing telecommunications services in Peru by reducing current rates by 30 times compared to before. Currently, Bitel is the network operator with the largest network infrastructure in Peru and has a nationwide distribution channel system with headquarters located in all states of Peru. Bitel also creates jobs for nearly 3,000 official workers and nearly 23,000 indirect workers.
