On the morning of December 31, at the Presidential Palace, Politburo Member, President Luong Cuong chaired a working session with the Presidential Office to assess the results of work in December 2025 and deploy key tasks for January 2026.
Also attending the meeting was Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.
The report of the representative of the President's Office leadership said that in December 2025, the Office advised and effectively served the President and Vice Presidents in performing tasks assigned by the Politburo and the Secretariat; serving the State leaders attending the 15th Central Committee Conference, the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly, and important central summary conferences. Advice work in the fields of legislative, executive, judicial, defense - security, and foreign affairs was deployed synchronously and in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality and progress.

The Presidential Office has advised the President to sign the Order announcing 40 laws and 1 ordinance; sign decisions related to international treaties, nationality, emulation - commendation; successfully serve major activities such as the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, the Military-Political Conference of the entire army, and at the same time ensure many important domestic and foreign affairs activities in the last month of the year, ending the term.
Concluding the meeting, Politburo Member, President Luong Cuong stated clearly that in 2026, many important political events of the country took place such as: the 14th National Congress of the Party; election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and election of deputies of People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2030 term.
In that spirit, the Office of the President needs to focus highly on deploying tasks right from the early days of 2026; continue to further improve the quality of strategic and comprehensive advisory work; coordinate with relevant agencies to prepare content to complete the 2026 plan; promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in management and operation of work, meeting increasingly high requirements in the context of the country entering a new stage of development.
State President Luong Cuong also requested the Office to focus on advising and serving well the activities of State leaders attending the 14th National Congress of the Party; deploying the working program of the State President and Vice President during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year as well as other internal and external affairs work in the first quarter of 2026, ensuring thoughtfulness, flexibility, and suitability to practical requirements, without errors or passivity.
The President requested the leadership collective and all officials and civil servants of the Presidential Office to promote the spirit of proactiveness, responsibility, solidarity, close coordination, and successfully complete the assigned tasks in January and the following months; carefully prepare working conditions, organizational structure, facilities, and ensure safety, smoothness, and efficiency of all activities of the President and Vice President.
