National Assembly Chairman receives Chairman of Japan's Komeito Party

On the morning of December 6, in Tokyo, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received Mr. Saito Tetsuo, Chairman of the Japanese Komeito Party.

According to VNA, congratulating Mr. Saito Tetsuo on being elected as Chairman of the Komeito Party, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man believes that the ruling coalition between the Komeito Party and the Liberal Democratic Party will achieve even greater successes, contributing to the continued prosperity of Japan and enhancing its prestige and position in the international arena.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man conveyed the greetings of General Secretary To Lam and senior leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam to Party Chairman Saito Tetsuo and leaders of the Komeito Party.

The National Assembly Chairman thanked the Japanese people in general and the Komeito Party in particular for their valuable support for Vietnam in the cause of national construction and development; and suggested that the two sides regularly and flexibly maintain delegation exchanges, high-level contacts, and theoretical and experience exchanges between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the ruling coalition consisting of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito Party.

Chairman of the Komeito Party Saito Tetsuo welcomed National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife, along with the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly, on an official visit to Japan; and congratulated National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on being elected to a new position.

Mr. Saito Tetsuo said that in recent times, the Komeito Party has had a close relationship with the Communist Party of Vietnam; he affirmed that in his position, he will further deepen the friendship between the two countries.

Chairman of the Komeito Party Saito Tetsuo congratulated General Secretary To Lam on his recent election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; highly appreciated General Secretary To Lam's leadership and direction in setting out the direction to develop Vietnam in the new era, the era of national growth; believed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will continue to reap many successes, contributing to the country's further development.

Party Chairman Koming said that on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2023, the two sides have held high-level and all-level meetings.

In particular, the two countries have upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world.

Mr. Saito Tetsuo hopes that in the future, the relationship between the two countries will be further promoted and strengthened.

Emphasizing that Vietnam and Japan have many similarities, the two leaders wished to further strengthen cooperation through all channels of the Party, Government, National Assembly and people-to-people exchanges to share experiences, discuss issues of mutual concern, and continue to strengthen the friendship and solidarity between the two countries.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man asked the Komin Party to continue supporting substantive cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in the fields of economics, trade, investment, and new-generation official development assistance (ODA); and hoped that Japanese enterprises would pay attention to and support Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the global supply chain.

The National Assembly Chairman also hopes that the Komeito Party will continue to pay attention to and create conditions for more than 600,000 Vietnamese people in Japan to stay, study and do business long-term.
