VNA reported that on the morning of October 18, 2024, in Vientiane, Laos, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with General Secretary and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man is leading a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to pay an official visit to Laos and attend the 45th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-45) from October 17-19.
On the afternoon of October 17, immediately after arriving in the capital Vientiane, at the Lao National Assembly House, Lao National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane solemnly presided over the official welcoming ceremony for National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly. Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, the two National Assembly Chairmen held talks.
Also on October 17, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, Vice President and former Lao National Assembly Chairman Pany Yathotou, and former Prime Minister and former Lao National Assembly Chairman Thongsing Thammavong.
Also on the morning of October 18, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Martyrs of Laos.
