President of the Cambodian Senate Hun Sen shared with Vietnam about the damage caused by recent storms and floods in the Central provinces.

The 13th Conference on Cooperation and Development of Vietnam - Cambodia Border Provinces took place in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia from November 27-28.

Within the framework of the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son visited and paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Cambodian Senate and Government and co-chaired the conference with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs of Cambodia Sar Sokha.

On the morning of November 28, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son visited and paid a courtesy visit to President of the Cambodian People's Party and President of the Hun Senate.

At the reception, expressing his condolences to General Secretary To Lam and senior leaders of Vietnam, President of the Senate Hun Sen shared the damage caused by recent storms and floods in the Central provinces of Vietnam. President Hun Sen suggested that the two sides strengthen cooperation in all fields, from politics, security, defense, economy, trade, investment to education, training, culture, science, technology, people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between border provinces.

On the afternoon of November 28, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son visited and paid his respects to Prime Minister Hun Manet. Prime Minister Hun Manet suggested that the two sides implement Party channel cooperation and cooperation between the three countries of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia; suggested Vietnam to coordinate in increasing road, waterway and air connectivity; promote comprehensive cooperation between the most border provinces in the fields of culture - education, security - defense, and cross-border crime prevention; promote border negotiations and markering; affirmed that the Cambodian Government is interested in Vietnamese people and supports Vietnamese enterprises to invest and do business in Cambodia.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that in his important position, Prime Minister Hun Manet would continue to direct relevant Cambodian ministries, branches and localities to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese side to focus on creating breakthroughs in economic cooperation, accelerating the connection of transport and logistics infrastructure, typically the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai - Bavet - Phnom Penh expressway connection project, while developing border gates and trade infrastructure; Encourage localities to actively and proactively support each other, especially in trade, health and education; strengthen defense - security cooperation, including strengthening the suppression of cybercrime, human trafficking and cross-border crimes; continue to find effective solutions to promptly resolve areas that have not yet completed the border crossing, sign the Border Gateway and the Border Gate; continue to create favorable conditions for all people in the country and the Vietnamese people at the border to continue to study and receive benefits from all subjects and people at all levels.

On the afternoon of November 28, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs of Cambodia Sar Sokha co-chaired the 13th Conference on Cooperation and Development of Vietnam - Cambodia Border Provinces. The conference was attended by representatives of leaders of 9 ministries/sectors, 10 provinces/cities and 3 military regions. At the end of the conference, the two sides issued a press release.
