Chairing the meeting with voters were National Assembly delegate Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); Mr. Tran Quoc Nam - Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Chamalea Thi Thuy - Head of Mass Mobilization of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee.
At the meeting, Ms. Chamalea Thi Thuy - Head of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department reported to voters on the expected content and program of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly; the results of the activities of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation since the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly to date; listened to and received voters' opinions, recommendations, reflections and aspirations on the content and program of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly; opinions and recommendations to the National Assembly and relevant agencies.
According to Ms. Chamalea Thi Thuy, the program of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly will consider and pass 16 laws and 2 resolutions such as the Law on Notarization (amended); the Law on Trade Unions (amended); the Law on Cultural Heritage (amended); the Law on Geology and Minerals; the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking (amended); the Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue; and the Law on People's Air Defense.
In addition, at the session, the National Assembly will also continue to consider and pass the Law on Urban and Rural Planning; Law on Juvenile Justice; Law on Value Added Tax (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Pharmacy; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army (according to the process at one session and according to the shortened order and procedures)...
Also at the upcoming session, the National Assembly will give opinions on 12 draft laws such as the Law on Digital Technology Industry; Law on Data; Law on Electricity (amended) (if eligible, it will be passed at the 8th Session according to the one-session process); Law on Chemicals (amended); Law on Teachers; Law on Management and Investment of State Capital in Enterprises; Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended); Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended);
Also in the upcoming session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on socio-economic issues, the state budget, supervision and other important issues.
