The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1251/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Da Nang City for the 2023-2025 period.
Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to adjust a part of the natural area of 1.03 km2 and population of 15,220 people of Hoa Minh ward, Lien Chieu district to merge into Thanh Khe Tay ward, Thanh Khe district.
After adjustment: Lien Chieu District has a natural area of 80.96 km2 and a population of 166,832 people. Hoa Minh Ward has a natural area of 6.65 km2 and a population of 43,060 people.
Thanh Khe District has a natural area of 10.50 km2 and a population of 236,754 people. Thanh Khe Tay Ward has a natural area of 2.38 km2 and a population of 36,444 people.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Thanh Khe district as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 0.88 km2 and population of 25,019 people of Hoa Khe ward into Thanh Khe Dong ward. After merging, Thanh Khe Dong ward has a natural area of 1.71 km2 and a population of 42,931 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 0.58 km2 and population of 19,482 people of Tam Thuan ward into Xuan Ha ward. After merging, Xuan Ha ward has a natural area of 1.43 km2 and a population of 40,827 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 0.51 km2 and population of 20,174 people of Vinh Trung ward into Thac Gian ward. After merging, Thac Gian ward has a natural area of 1.29 km2 and a population of 41,802 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 0.37 km2 and population of 16,855 people of Tan Chinh ward into Chinh Gian ward.
After the arrangement, Lien Chieu district has 5 wards, including: Hoa Hiep Bac, Hoa Hiep Nam, Hoa Khanh Bac, Hoa Khanh Nam, Hoa Minh.
Thanh Khe District has 6 wards, including: An Khe, Chinh Gian, Thac Gian, Thanh Khe Dong, Thanh Khe Tay, Xuan Ha.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Hai Chau district as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 0.24 km2, population of 9,690 people of Nam Duong ward and the entire natural area of 0.49 km2, population of 13,705 people of Binh Hien ward into Phuoc Ninh ward.
Merge the entire natural area of 1.14 km2 and population of 19,052 people of Hoa Thuan Dong ward into Binh Thuan ward.
Establish Hai Chau ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 0.95 km2, population of 18,146 people of Hai Chau I ward and the entire natural area of 0.36 km2, population of 16,875 people of Hai Chau II ward.
Adjust a part of the natural area of 0.19 km2 of Thuan Phuoc ward to merge into Thanh Binh ward.
After adjustment, Thuan Phuoc ward has a natural area of 2.21 km2 and a population of 19,630 people.
After the arrangement, Hai Chau district has 9 wards.
Arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Son Tra district as follows:
Establish An Hai Nam ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 0.82 km2, population of 21,372 people of An Hai Dong ward and the entire natural area of 1.53 km2, population of 13,122 people of An Hai Tay ward.
Adjust a part of natural area of 0.57 km2, population size of 10,004 people of Tho Quang ward to merge into Man Thai ward.
After adjustment, Tho Quang ward has a natural area of 49.97 km2 and a population of 27,179 people.
After the arrangement, Son Tra district has 6 wards.
This Resolution comes into force from January 1, 2025.
From the effective date of this Resolution, Da Nang City has 8 district-level administrative units, including 6 districts and 2 counties; 47 commune-level administrative units, including 36 wards and 11 communes.
