On February 27, Quang Tri Provincial Police held a conference to receive functions and tasks from departments and branches under the Provincial People's Committee to the Provincial Police.
At the conference, leaders of the Provincial Police and leaders of departments and branches signed a minutes of receiving and handing over state management tasks from departments and branches to the Provincial Police.
The Provincial Police will receive the task of state management of network information safety and security from the Department of Information and Communications; receive the task of testing and granting road motor vehicle driving licenses from the Department of Transport; receive the task of drug addiction treatment and post-drug addiction management from the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; receive the task of state management of criminal records and perform public services for issuing criminal records from the Department of Justice.
The transfer of some functions and tasks to the Quang Tri Provincial Police is included in Project No. 350 dated February 4, 2025 of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee on reorganizing specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee.
Colonel Vu Van Dau - Director of Quang Tri Provincial Police said that receiving the above functions and tasks is extremely important. The Provincial Police will direct relevant professional departments to closely coordinate with functional departments and units under departments and branches to urgently complete the reception and handover of tasks to organize the operation of tasks smoothly and effectively.
