On November 4, according to the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal, on November 3, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to the Son La Provincial Police for their achievements in fighting and destroying a transnational drug trafficking and transportation ring from Laos to Vietnam for consumption.
The content of the Letter of Commendation clearly stated: The Ministry's leaders were informed: Recently, Son La Provincial Police has presided over and coordinated with the Ministry's professional units, Nam Dinh Provincial Police and Thai Binh Provincial Police to fight and destroy a transnational drug trafficking and transportation ring from Laos to Vietnam for consumption, arresting 5 subjects, seizing more than 44kg of various drugs, 1 gun and many other evidences.
This is an outstanding achievement, demonstrating the determination, high sense of responsibility and professional sharpness of Son La Provincial Police in implementing the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on the fight against transnational crimes and drug crimes according to the motto "do not attack the middle, arrest the whole network, especially the ringleaders".
The results of the special project demonstrated the active and effective coordination between local police and professional units of the Ministry; at the same time, it contributed to ensuring security, order, deterrence and crime prevention, and strengthening people's trust in the People's Police force.
