On the afternoon of February 28, Tra Vinh Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Minister of Public Security on dissolving the district-level Police from January 1 and mobilizing and arranging officers.
Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hai - Director of Tra Vinh Provincial Police - chaired the ceremony. Also attending were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Standing members of the District Party Committee, Town Party Committee, City Party Committee; Deputy Directors of the Provincial Police; Former Provincial People's Police Association; leaders of the Public Security of units, localities and Police Chiefs of communes, wards and towns attending.
At the conference, authorized by the Provincial Police Director, the leaders of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the organization of the Provincial Police apparatus; decisions on the dissolution of 09 Police of districts, towns and cities; decisions on the organization of the Police apparatus of units under the Provincial Police (department level, commune level), decisions on the transfer of 50 leaders at the department level, district-level Police to take on new tasks.
Organize the signing of the handover of tasks between the Department-level and District-level Police.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hai, Director of the Provincial Police Department, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and hard work of the comrades at the Police Department of units and localities.
In the coming time, the Director of the Provincial Police Department requested the Heads of the Public Security of units and localities to urgently implement decisions on the organizational structure of the apparatus; organize the handover of work, records, and equipment to ensure completeness and seriousness; comrades assigned to new tasks urgently study new functions and tasks to quickly perform well the tasks, etc.
"Chiefs of the police units direct and assign leaders of the commune police department to monitor, guide, inspect and urge the implementation of commune-level police tasks according to assigned functions, tasks, fields and forces. Commune-level police must actively research and coordinate with provincial-level professional units to effectively carry out new tasks," emphasized the Director of the Provincial Police.
On this occasion, the Provincial Police Department commended collectives with outstanding achievements through the preliminary review of the first round of a special emulation movement to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection and the reward for the peak period of attack and suppression of crimes to ensure security and order for the Lunar New Year 2025.
