The audit's objective is to confirm the authenticity and reasonableness of local financial and budget information, financial reports and settlement reports of audited units; assess compliance with the law, feasibility, and efficiency in managing and using public finance and public assets of audited units and projects.
At the same time, recommend competent authorities to perfect inadequate mechanisms and policies; promptly detect violations and acts of corruption, waste, and negativity and clearly identify the responsibilities of relevant groups and individuals.
The scope of the audit includes the management and use of local budgets in 2024; activities related to the management and use of public finance and public assets; programs and projects for investment in construction, procurement, management and use of public assets; related activities of agencies, organizations and individuals subject to audit.
The audit period is 60 days, from the date of announcement of the audit decision.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Ha Thi My Dung - Deputy State Auditor General suggested that the People's Committee of Nghe An province and related units closely coordinate with the audit team, provide complete and timely documents and necessary information; create favorable conditions for the team to complete the tasks according to the plan.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province affirmed that the province will direct departments, branches, sectors, localities and related units to closely coordinate with the audit team; provide complete and timely documents and information as required; create favorable conditions for the team to complete its tasks.
Mr. Le Hong Vinh also suggested that the audit team pay attention to and support the province in detecting and overcoming limitations and shortcomings; recommend solutions to improve the efficiency of budget management and use, public finance and public assets in the province.
