    Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel declared the official funeral for former President Tran Duc Luong from 6:00 a.m. on May 24 to 0:00 a.m. on May 25 (local time).

    VNA reported that on May 22, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel declared an official funeral from 6:00 a.m. on May 24 to 0:00 a.m. on May 25 (local time) to commemorate former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Duc Luong.

    Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel expressed that the Cuban people were extremely saddened to hear the news of comrade Tran Duc Luong's passing.

    In his glorious leadership career, comrade Tran Duc Luong has made great contributions to Vietnam's innovation and the special brotherhood and trust between the people, the Party and the Governments of the two countries.

    During the official funeral, the Cuban flag will be hung in public buildings and military agencies.
