Former Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Ngo Van Tuan submitted an application for early retirement to facilitate the agency's streamlining of the apparatus.

On March 13, information from the Office of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that the unit had issued decisions to 8 cadres and civil servants who retired early according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP of the Government.

Accordingly, all 8 cadres and civil servants have submitted voluntary applications for early retirement to facilitate the agency's streamlining of the apparatus.

Among the officials and civil servants who applied for early retirement is Mr. Ngo Van Tuan, member of the Steering Committee for Urban and Housing Development Planning, Deputy Head of the Department of Management - Finance (under the Office of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee).

Previously, Mr. Ngo Van Tuan was disciplined by the Secretariat in terms of Party discipline; in January 2018, the Prime Minister removed Mr. Tuan from the position of Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

After that, Mr. Tuan was assigned to work as Head of the Working Group of the Steering Committee for Urban - Housing Development Planning (under the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province).

In March 2019, Mr. Tuan wrote an application to become Chief of Office of the Department of Construction - where he was once Director and was accepted.

However, just 5 days later, Mr. Tuan wrote a letter of resignation from this position, returning to the position of Head of the Working Group of the Urban - Housing Development Planning Steering Committee. The reason given at that time was due to too much public pressure.
