This morning (October 21), before the opening of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and National Assembly deputies laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
Attending the ceremony were General Secretary and President To Lam; Politburo members: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien.
Also attending were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries, Party Central Committee members, along with many leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, central departments, ministries, branches, organizations and National Assembly deputies.
The delegation's wreath bears the inscription "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh".
The delegates expressed their infinite gratitude and respectfully remembered President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to the revolutionary cause of our Party and people. He devoted his whole life to the country and the people, leading our Party and people to glorious victories.
The 8th session will be held in two phases. Phase 1 will run from October 21 to November 13 and phase 2 will run from November 20 to the morning of November 30, with the National Assembly working on four Saturdays. The total working time of the session is expected to be 29.5 days.
After the preparatory session, the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly will solemnly open at the National Assembly House.
