On January 21 (December 22, Giap Thin year), at the Kim Lien National Special Historical Relic Site, the Relic Site Management Board, Kim Lien commune, Nam Giang commune and representatives of the Nguyen Sinh, Hoang Xuan and Ha families held the 124th death anniversary of Ms. Hoang Thi Loan.
Attending the ceremony, leaders of Ha Tinh province included Mr. Hoang Trung Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Thai Huong - Hero of Labor, founder, Chairwoman of TH Group's Strategy Council, Head of Chung Son Temple Management Board.
The death anniversary was held solemnly and respectfully according to traditional rituals, expressing infinite gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh's mother.
At the memorial service, delegates respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express their respect and gratitude to Ms. Hoang Thi Loan.
The delegates pledged to unite and strive to build an increasingly civilized and prosperous country; to protect, preserve and promote the priceless heritages of President Ho Chi Minh in Nghe An.
Previously, at Chung Son Temple (the temple worshiping President Ho Chi Minh's ancestors), leaders of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and his family members.
Ms. Hoang Thi Loan was born in 1868, in Hoang Tru village, Chung Cu commune, Lam Thinh canton, Nam Duong district, Nghe An province (now Hoang Tru village, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province).
In 1883, Ms. Hoang Thi Loan married Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac. They had a third child, Nguyen Sinh Cung, who later became President Ho Chi Minh.
In 1895, Ms. Hoang Thi Loan went to Hue Capital to work as a weaver to make a living for her family.
On December 22, Canh Ty year (February 10, 1901), Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan passed away and was buried at Tam Tang mountain, in Ngu Binh mountain range along Huong Giang river in Hue Citadel. Later, her remains were brought back to Dong Tranh mountain (Nam Giang commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province) for burial.
