Ninh Thuan – The local leader said that investment resources will be allocated effectively to disadvantaged and remote areas, avoiding dispersion.

On the morning of December 2, the National Assembly Delegation of Ninh Thuan province met with voters after the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly in Bac Son commune, Thuan Bac district.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam - Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province and Ms. Chamalea Thi Thuy - Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee.

At the meeting, voters in Bac Son commune were pleased that the National Assembly, the Party and the State have always paid attention to the lives of the people, including ethnic minorities living in remote areas across the country, for many years.

For Bac Son commune, voters requested the National Assembly Delegation to continue to pay attention and recommend investment in building embankments to prevent flooding in rice-growing areas...

Voters also recommended that, in addition to poor and near-poor households enjoying state policies, authorities should also apply support policies for households that have just escaped poverty.

In addition, Bac Son commune and Thuan Bac district currently have a high demand for expanding residential and production land. Therefore, voters hope that the locality will continue to plan to add more land funds.

Responding to voters, Mr. Pham Trong Hung - Chairman of Thuan Bac District People's Committee said he would accept the opinions of Bac Son commune people.

Mr. Hung added that the locality previously implemented two programs: sustainable poverty reduction and new rural areas. Now, the Central Government has added the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas. This is the concern of the Party and State for people in disadvantaged areas.

Regarding the content that voters want national target programs to expand to include those who have just escaped poverty, Mr. Hung said that the locality proposed that the National Assembly delegation give more comments.

However, Mr. Hung said that households that have just escaped poverty need to improve their lives.

Regarding the drainage embankment system invested by the province in Bac Son commune, Mr. Hung assessed that the construction process has been effective, but there have also been some problems, including the drainage system. From there, the district will work with the authorities to consider resources to improve the flow better.
