Distorted and one-sided arguments in cyberspace
81 years ago, after the victory of the August Revolution, on September 2, 1945, on behalf of the Provisional Government, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence before the entire nation and compatriots, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
This immortal Declaration of Independence contains great contemporary values, considered the human rights declaration of colonial peoples around the world.
However, with their ambitions, hostile forces, reactionary organizations in exile, and some opposition subjects have taken advantage of social networks to post many articles, images, and comments with distorted and distorted arguments about the Declaration of Independence, about the value and contemporary significance of this historical document, creating a one-sided and distorted view.
The distorted rhetoric focused on denying the meaning and role of the Declaration of Independence drafted and announced by President Ho Chi Minh at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945, thereby accusing that "over the past 81 years, the Party has maintained the full-party system that restrains freedom, democracy and divides the nation".
The above subjects also integrate historical data and make forced comparisons with some other events to create a wrong view denying the guarantee of human rights of our Party and State. Taking advantage of complex cases arising in resolving ethnic and religious issues to inflate and distort the actual situation, blame the regime, belittle and deny the leadership position and role of the Party; and constantly praising the capitalist and enjoyment lifestyle to create a distorted view that our country following the path of socialism is a mistake.
Clearly, this is an extremely insidious and treacherous rhetoric aimed at degrading the reputation, prestige, and role of President Ho Chi Minh and the Declaration of Independence for the Vietnamese revolution, eroding people's trust in Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, thereby aiming to undermine the Party's ideological foundation.
The purpose of hostile forces, reactionary organizations in exile and opposition subjects is to distort the value, humanistic and contemporary significance of the Declaration of Independence, denying the leadership role of the Party in the development process of national history; gradually losing the trust of cadres, party members and people in the Party's leadership, especially in ensuring human rights.
81 years of Independence is a vivid proof of smashing all conspiracies and distorted arguments
81 years ago, under the leadership of the Party, our people from North to South stood up to carry out a general uprising to seize power and end slavery.
Immediately after the August Revolution succeeded, on September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh, on behalf of the Provisional Government, solemnly read the Declaration of Independence, declaring before the national people and the world about the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
In a moment of history, the Declaration of Independence was born, breaking the chain of hundreds of years of slavery of the colonial empire, thousands of years of domination of the feudal regime, opening a new era for the Vietnamese nation - an era of national independence associated with socialism. The Declaration of Independence is also a historical document, a masterpiece containing profound theoretical and practical values of the era, in which human rights are a prominent value.
81 years since independence, especially with the achievements of renovation in the past 40 years, Vietnam's foundation, potential, position and prestige are increasingly high in the international arena. To date, Vietnam's economy has risen strongly with GDP scale ranked 32nd in the world, reaching over 514 billion USD. With a total turnover of nearly 3.8 trillion USD in the period 2021-2025, Vietnam officially rose to the top 15 largest trading powers in the world.
The foreign affairs situation is constantly expanding and raising; Vietnam has joined the United Nations (1977), ASEAN (1995), signed the Vietnam-US Trade Agreement (2000) and to date has signed and participated in 17 Free Trade Agreements (FTAs); has diplomatic relations with nearly 200 countries/territories; established 15 comprehensive strategic partners, including all 5 permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.
Every year, every anniversary of National Day September 2nd, Vietnamese people, no matter where in the country or far from the Fatherland, cannot help but be moved, nostalgic, and recall the heroic, boiling, and excited atmosphere of the revolutionary autumn days.
This is also an opportunity to remember and express gratitude to millions of cadres, soldiers and compatriots who fell in the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland; to remember and be grateful for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party of Vietnam.
In the flow of national history, independence and freedom are always aspirations that many generations of Vietnamese people have shed blood and sacrificed to protect. And today, when the country enters a new era, the responsibility to continue and promote the values of national independence is placed on the shoulders of the young generation, the shock force of the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
