On August 13, information from the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative (PCTN, negativity) of Lang Son province said that in July 2025, the unit promptly advised the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to lead and direct all levels and sectors to specify and implement the instructions of the Central and the province on anti-corruption and negativity work.
Accordingly, the Steering Committee has summarized, evaluated and removed 2 cases and incidents from the scope of monitoring and direction, continuing to monitor 2 other cases and incidents.
For the case of "Violating regulations on bidding causing serious consequences" at the Department of Health (in connection with AIC Company), the Steering Committee assessed that the settlement progress was still slow, requested to speed up the investigation, clarify violations, and strictly handle them according to regulations.
With the case at the Mai Pha New Urban Area Project, it is also directed to continue reviewing difficulties, problems and petitions from people to resolve them promptly and in accordance with regulations.
The Steering Committee also monitors and directs the handling of 2 projects that are behind schedule and at risk of loss and waste, including the Chi Ma Border Gate Market Project and the Commercial Area 4 - Nam Hoang Dong 1 Urban Area Project.
Currently, the Department of Finance and the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone are coordinating with relevant agencies to review, remove obstacles, and speed up progress.
Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, negatively requested the establishment of a working group to survey the management and use of headquarters and public assets after implementing the two-level local government, and recommend effective handling plans to avoid waste.
Along with that, review the conclusions and recommendations of inspections and audits that have not been completed, determine the causes, responsibilities and implementation roadmap. Speed up the settlement of serious, complicated corruption, waste, and negativity cases and incidents that are of public concern.
At the same time, advise on issuing a new Directive of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on strengthening anti-corruption and negativity work in the 2025-2030 period, in line with the two-level government model and the Central Government's instructions.
