Supplement tasks and powers on waste prevention and control in conjunction with corruption prevention and control to concretize the Party and State's policy on promoting waste prevention and control in the current period.
The Government Inspectorate performs the task and authority of preventing and combating waste through inspection activities, handling complaints and denunciations and preventing and combating corruption and negativity according to its authority.
Proposal to establish 8 Inspection Departments by field
According to the Submission, the Draft Decree stipulates the organizational structure of the Government Inspectorate, including 22 units, including 5 general consulting units, 15 inspection units, citizen reception units, complaint and denunciation settlement and corruption prevention, waste and negativity prevention and control by field, area and 2 public service units.
5 advisory and synthesis units include the Department of Legal Affairs, the Department of Organization and Personnel, the Department of Planning and Finance, the Office, and the Department of International Cooperation.
The Information Center is proposed to be merged into the Office to streamline the apparatus of the Government Inspectorate according to the direction of the Central Government.
The Office receives the function of digital transformation and manages the electronic information portal of the Government Inspectorate, to link digital transformation with administrative reform.
Continue to maintain 3 inspection and complaint and denunciation settlement departments according to the current area including Department I, Department II, Department III.
The draft proposes to establish 8 Inspection Departments, resolve complaints and denunciations by field on the basis of ending the organization and operation of 12 Ministries Inspectorates and 3 current sectoral and sectoral inspections of the Government Inspectorate (Department I, Department II, Department III).
The 8 proposed departments include: Department of Inspection for complaint and denunciation settlement in the fields of internal affairs, ethnic affairs, and religion; Department of Inspection for complaint and denunciation settlement in the fields of finance and banking; Department of Inspection for complaint and denunciation settlement in the field of construction.

Also according to the Report, after the arrangement, the Government Inspectorate will continue to inspect the 12 Ministries' inspectors and will have to conduct about 150 inspections/year.
