The Government's electronic information portal reported on September 29 that according to the Resolution of the Central Military Commission on the organization of the Vietnam People's Army for the period 2021 - 2030 and the following years, the 7th Infantry Division and the 309th Infantry Division will be transferred from the 4th Corps to be directly under Military Region 7.
During this period, the 550th Engineer Brigade and Military Hospital 4 of the 4th Corps will also be transferred to Military Region 7.
Up to now, Military Region 7 has established a Steering Committee, a working group, developed a plan, directed the functional agencies of the Military Region to coordinate with the 4th Army Corps to agree on the timeline, related contents, do a good job of preparing, completing records, procedures, documents, data and work aspects of each sector to carry out the handover and receipt according to plan, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulations.
The Military Region agencies also advise and propose the Military Region Command to arrange, mobilize, and assign cadres in accordance with their qualifications, abilities, and staffing needs; properly resolve policies and regimes for the subjects; and strictly review procedures, records, and defense land locations to prevent loss, waste, and encroachment.
Regarding this activity, Major General Dang Van Hung - Deputy Commander, Chief of Military Region 7 - has just chaired a conference to deploy preparations to receive units of Army Corps 4 under Military Region 7.
Information at this conference shows that it is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2024, Military Region 7 and Army Corps 4 will hand over the units.
Major General Dang Van Hung requested that the process of receiving units from Army Corps 4 to be directly under Military Region 7 must ensure stability in organization, staffing, military numbers, weapons and equipment, and do a good job of ideological and policy work, not affecting political tasks and regular tasks; and avoid loss of finance, public assets, facilities, barracks, and defense land.
According to the plan, in the fourth quarter of 2024, after the decision of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of General Advice, Military Region 7 and Army Corps 4 will hand over the units to ensure unity, synchronization, efficiency and safety.
Also related to the work of organizing units in the Vietnam People's Army, on the afternoon of September 24, at Division 7, the 4th Corps Command organized the handover of defense land to the Department of Electronic Warfare, General Department of the Vietnam People's Army. The total area of land handed over is 62,501 m2, intended for defense purposes.
