On September 27, the Office of the Government announced that Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc had just signed Decision 1050/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister assigning Mr. Vu Nhu Thang to continue holding the position of Vice Chairman of the National Financial Supervision Committee.
Accordingly, Mr. Vu Nhu Thang continues to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Financial Supervision Committee and in charge of the National Financial Supervision Committee from August 21, 2024 until a decision is made by the competent authority.
Mr. Vu Nhu Thang was born in 1973, was formally trained in the fields of finance and law, has a PhD in science, and has held leadership positions in units of the Ministry of Finance for many years.
Previously, on August 21, 2019, the Prime Minister signed Decision 1055/QD-TTg to transfer and appoint Mr. Vu Nhu Thang, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Finance, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Financial Supervision Committee and assigned him to be in charge of the National Financial Supervision Committee.
Mr. Vu Nhu Thang is assigned to coordinate specialized supervision activities, supervise the financial and banking markets, and especially warn of risks to the national financial system and make recommendations to the Prime Minister and the Government for handling.
