On February 13, in Hanoi, the People's Army Newspaper (QDND) held a press meeting to introduce the journalism contest about the glorious Party and great Uncle Ho with the theme "Steadfastly step under the Party's flag".
The contest was launched and directed by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. Emphasizing the significance of the contest, Major General Doan Xuan Bo - Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper - said: The contest aims to widely propagate to cadres, party members, soldiers and people of all walks of life about the glorious history of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh; affirming the position, role, prestige, leadership capacity, governance and fighting strength of the Party.
Through press works in the contest, the aim is to arouse and foster the trust and pride of cadres, soldiers and people in the Party and State; strengthen the strength of national solidarity, create social consensus on the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws.
The contest accepts various types of journalism (political commentary, reportage, reflection, press photos, multimedia journalism such as longform, infographic, podcast, video clips). Entries must be creative, have a high influence and practical value.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association - highly appreciated the organization of this contest and expressed his belief that the contest will be a great success. The Vietnam Journalists Association will provide guidance to all levels of the association and its members to participate in this contest.
Mr. Tong Van Thanh - Head of the Press and Publishing Department, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - suggested that press agencies spread and propagate the content of the contest, arouse patriotism and love for the glorious Party and great Uncle Ho through this contest.
According to the Organizing Committee, the submission period is from February 5, 2025 to November 30, 2025 (calculated from the time of sending the email or the postmark on the envelope). Eligible entries will be published in publications of the People's Army Newspaper. The contest will be judged and awarded in December 2025.
The Organizing Committee will award 5 first prizes, each worth 35 million VND; 10 second prizes, each worth 25 million VND; 25 third prizes, each worth 20 million VND; 25 consolation prizes, each worth 5 million VND; 10 certificates of merit to 10 groups with outstanding achievements, each worth 2 million VND.

- Send by post: People's Army Newspaper, No. 7 Phan Dinh Phung, Hanoi. On the entry and envelope, clearly state: "The entry is for the Journalism Contest on the Glorious Party and Great Uncle Ho with the theme "Steadfastly Stepping Under the Party Flag" in 2025".
