On the morning of June 9, in Hanoi, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the Ceremony to honor typical voluntary blood donors nationwide in 2026 with the message "Drops of human blood - donating blood to give life".
According to the National Assembly Chairwoman, blood donation to save people is not only a noble gesture, a noble humanitarian action but also a vivid proof of the precious tradition of mutual affection, "the healthy leaf protects the torn leaf" of the Vietnamese nation from thousands of years ago.
Each drop of blood shared is not simply a unit of blood for treatment, but it is the revival of life, a source of hope, a chance to continue living for thousands of patients in critical condition.
At the same time, it is a sacred connection of hearts, spreading positive energy and deep compassion in the community.
The National Assembly Chairwoman expressed her emotion when knowing that among the delegates commended today, there are people who have donated blood hundreds of times, there are families of all 3 generations participating in blood donation, and there are also people who cross long roads, day and night, to promptly donate blood to save people.
Voluntary blood donation activities in our country have developed strongly, methodically, gone deeper and spread widely throughout society. These are the most vivid proofs of a civilized, compassionate and loving society.
To make the voluntary blood donation movement increasingly develop sustainably and spread more widely, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated clearly that the National Assembly and the National Assembly's agencies will continue to review and improve policies and laws related to health, humanitarian and voluntary blood donation, ensuring the best rights for blood donors.
At the same time, creating the most favorable conditions for humanitarian activities to develop in the right direction, transparently and effectively. The health sector and relevant agencies proactively build long-term strategies on humanitarian blood donation, effectively implement Resolution No. 72 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 261 of the National Assembly on a number of breakthrough solutions, strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health.
The National Assembly Chairwoman believes that voluntary blood donation activities will continue to develop further, making an important contribution to the cause of protecting, caring for and improving people's health.
