On April 28, at the 20th session (thematic meeting) of the People's Council (People's Council) of Tay Ninh province, term X, term 2021-2026, the Council conducted the election as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the term 2021-2026. The meeting was chaired by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Manh Hung and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hong Son.
Within the framework of the session, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh presented a proposal on introducing personnel to elect the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for Mr. Doan Trung Kien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Principal of Hanoi Law University.
As a result, Mr. Doan Trung Kien was elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. This election aims to perfect the leadership apparatus, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of local governments, meeting development requirements in the coming period.
Mr. Doan Trung Kien, born on September 8, 1979, in Ha Nam province. He has a high level of political theory and a Doctorate in Law. Before being elected Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Kien had many years of working in the education and legal sector. He was a lecturer at Hanoi Law University and held important positions at the Government Office and the Ministry of Justice, including Acting Director and Director of the Judicial Academy. Since August 2020, he has been Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal of Hanoi Law University.
Previously, on April 14, Mr. Doan Trung Kien was transferred and appointed by the Central Party Secretariat to join the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
