On February 27, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee to organize a national scientific conference on the " role of the "Long-haired Army" and the "Three-way Standing" movement in the resistance war against the US to save the country".
Attending the workshop were Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Ms. Truong My Hoa - former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President; Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.
The workshop was held in person at the main connecting points of Ben Tre province and online at connecting points in all provinces and cities across the country with about 7,000 delegates participating.
There have been 25 presentations on the role and significance of the "Long-haired Army" and the "Three Lions in the Power of Power" movement in the resistance war against the US to save the country sent to the Workshop. From there, share, discuss and discuss scientific research results and historical evidence to honor and recognize the important contributions of the "Long-haired Army" and the "Three-way Army" movement in the resistance war against the US to save the country. At the same time, summarize lessons learned from experience and history to creatively apply to the women's movement and Association activities in the new era, the era of national growth.
Speaking at the workshop, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the great contributions of the female heroes of the Armed Forces, Labor heroes during the resistance war against the US to save the country, the women, mothers, and sisters of the "Long-haired Army" and the "Three Saints" movement who participated in the resistance war to protect the country's independence and freedom.
To facilitate women to promote their potential and creativity, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that women's unions at all levels continue to implement digital skills training programs, provide financial support and create startup opportunities for women, especially in rural areas, ethnic minority and mountainous areas. At the same time, promote policy mobilization activities to protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of women, promote gender equality and women's progress.
