The Conference on Breakthroughs in Science, Technology, Innovation and National Digital Transformation (Resolution 57) had more than 978,500 delegates attending.

This morning (January 13), at Dien Hong Hall - National Assembly House, the Central Party Secretariat organized a National Conference on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation (Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW).

General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu, and other leaders and former leaders of the Party and State attended the Conference.

The conference was held directly at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly Building, combined online with connecting points at provincial Party Committees, city Party Committees, Party Committees directly under the Central Committee; central departments, ministries, branches, and public service units; connecting points at provincial, district, and commune levels.

Statistics from the conference organizing committee show that the conference was connected to 15,345 points nationwide with the participation of more than 978,500 delegates.

The conference aims to assess the implementation of resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on science and technology development, thoroughly grasp and deploy Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, creating a breakthrough change in awareness and implementation, contributing to the country's development.

At the same time, it is required that the implementation of tasks on science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation be carried out methodically, scientifically, long-term, smoothly and effectively, creating high unity within the Party, consensus among the people and the business community, entrepreneurs and society.

Resolution 57-NQ/TW issued by the Politburo on December 22, 2024, emphasized that the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation is a decisive factor in the development of countries; is a prerequisite and the best opportunity for our country to develop richly and powerfully in the new era - the era of national development.

The Resolution also sets out 7 groups of tasks and solutions, emphasizing raising awareness, making breakthroughs in innovative thinking, determining strong political determination, resolutely leading and directing, creating new momentum and new momentum in the whole society in developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

The Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation was established, headed by General Secretary To Lam. The National Advisory Council on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation was established with the participation of domestic and foreign experts.

Many experts believe that Resolution 57-NQ/TW is a breath of fresh air, illuminating the path forward for the Vietnamese people. That is, by entering high technology and strongly transforming digitally, Vietnam can move forward quickly, strongly and steadily to become rich and powerful and stand shoulder to shoulder with other countries in the five continents.
