The Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security continue to mobilize forces in the area to support the efforts and materials for localities to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Excitedly living in a spacious, clean level 4 house that has just been completed, Ms. Pham Thi Dao (Nam Truc 1 commune, new Ninh Binh province) shared that before, her family lived in a house with a thatched roof.

After many years, the couple saved up money to repair and roof the tiled roof. Over time, the tiled roof leaked from the rain, so the house was often damp. Thanks to the help of the government, the couple now have a fully equipped house, without having to worry about having to use a bucket to collect rainwater like before.

"Thank you to the Party and State for creating conditions and helping poor and near-poor households like me to improve their lives," said Ms. Pham Thi Dao.

On July 16, the Government Office issued Notice No. 367/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the 6th Session of the Central Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide.

The Prime Minister requested ministries, agencies and localities to resolutely direct the implementation of this task, determined to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide before August 31.8; in which housing support for meritorious people and martyrs' families will be completed before July 24.

At the same time, continue to promote and strongly launch a movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in the spirit of "whoever has something to help others; whoever has meritorious services; whoever has property to help others; whoever has a lot helps a lot, whoever has little helps a little"; each house is "a gift, a shelter, a love", expressing the good "national love, compatriotism" of our nation.

The Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to proactively use local temporary and idle financial resources to support the groundbreaking of new projects and repairing houses for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs.

Localities promptly review and improve the Steering Committees at all levels, not to interrupt the direction and operation; daily update the results of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area into the guided statistical software.

The locality sent a list of unit staff monitoring the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses to the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions for coordination in the implementation process.
