On the afternoon of November 12, at the National Assembly House, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with King Jordan Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein.
According to VNA, at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that despite geographical distance, the two countries have a friendly and close relationship, built on the foundation of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, contributing to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated Jordan's efforts in promoting peace, stability and development in the Middle East, as well as the leadership role of the King of Jordan in promoting human values, social justice and global food security.
The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that Vietnam is ready to promote multifaceted cooperation with Jordan on the basis of mutual benefits; emphasized that the National Assembly of Vietnam is ready to create favorable legal conditions, promote policies to support bilateral cooperation, coordinate in supervising the implementation of cooperation agreements between the two countries, thereby promoting comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein expressed his admiration for the spirit of determination, the tradition of diligence and creativity of the Vietnamese people and the socio-economic development achievements that Vietnam has achieved in recent times.

In the context of both countries promoting the implementation of socio-economic development policies, the King hopes that the two countries will promote cooperation in all fields, especially between the two private sectors.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein agreed that the two sides need to enhance political trust and promote cooperation in defense and security through exchanging delegations at all levels.
In the economic field, the two leaders agreed to create favorable conditions for goods with each country's strengths, promote cooperation in the fields of high-tech agriculture, textiles, renewable energy, logistics, healthcare, etc.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man proposed expanding cultural cooperation, education and people-to-people exchanges through student exchange activities, scholarships, tourism and culture so that the younger generations of the two peoples can understand and bond more closely.
To achieve this goal, the King of Jordan suggested that the two sides study opening a direct flight between the two countries.
The two leaders also agreed that the legislative bodies of the two countries need to improve the effectiveness of parliamentary cooperation, considering this one of the important pillars in the overall bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Jordan.
