On March 17, at the Presidential Palace, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece, Colombia, Panama and 6 concurrent Ambassadors to submit the Decree of Residence for assignment in Vietnam.

According to VNA, receiving Greek Ambassador to Vietnam Antonios Papakostas, President Luong Cuong believes that the Ambassador will promote his important bridging role during his term in Vietnam, contributing positively to fostering and further strengthening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Greece. The President suggested that the Ambassador and his Vietnamese partners promote measures to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, helping to promote the signing of a number of cooperation agreements in areas of mutual interest to both sides during his term.

The Greek Ambassador said that although he had not been in Vietnam for long, he had felt the affection that the State and people of Vietnam had for him; hoping that during his term, he would contribute to further promoting the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Receiving Colombian Ambassador Camila Maria Polo Florez, President Luong Cuong believes that the Ambassador will make important contributions to further promoting the cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Colombia in an increasingly practical and effective direction, for the benefit of each country, for peace, stability and development of the two regions.

The Colombian Ambassador emphasized that the task during this term is to further promote bilateral relations, especially coordinate with relevant Vietnamese agencies to organize the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Ambassador said that Vietnam is a model of economic growth in recent times that Colombia can learn from.

Welcoming Ms. Nubiela Ayala Modes to be appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Panama to Vietnam, the President affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to Panama's role and position in Central America and Latin America; wishes to strengthen the good traditional friendship, enhance political trust, improve the effectiveness of cooperation, especially in economics - trade, investment, culture, and people-to-people exchange.

Ambassador Nubiela Ayala Modes said that during his term, he will make every effort to promote the traditional friendship and effective cooperation between the two countries, especially in political, economic, trade and investment relations in recent times.

Speaking at the ceremony to receive the National Charter from the current Ambassadors from Lebanon; Democratic Republic of Congo; Republic of Congo; Burundi; Portugal; Indonesia, President Luong Cuong affirmed that this event marks a new milestone in the development of relations between Vietnam and the countries represented by the Ambassadors.

Sharing the goal of bringing bilateral relations to a new height, the President hoped that the Ambassadors and Vietnam would further open up the potential for cooperation between the two countries; increase delegation exchanges, especially high-level delegations, to orient and create momentum for relations, learn and share experiences in the process of national development, promote economic, trade, investment cooperation... especially in areas that can complement each other, promote people-to-people exchanges.

The President hopes that during their term of office, the Ambassadors will play a good role as a " bridge" of friendship and cooperation, further fostering and developing relations between Vietnam and the country represented by the Ambassadors. With the inherent foundation of relations, along with the active contributions of the Ambassadors, the relationship between Vietnam and other countries will continue to have good development in the coming time. Vietnam will always create all favorable conditions for the Ambassadors to successfully complete their tasks.
