On the morning of April 19, Tay Ninh province held an inauguration ceremony for the project to restore and embellish many items of the Special National Historical Site of the Southern Sub-Department Central Office.
The ceremony was attended by General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc - Deputy Minister of Justice, along with representatives of central agencies and local leaders.
Determined as one of the two key projects of Tay Ninh province this year, the restoration of the relic site has special political and historical significance, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Tay Ninh province (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Over 15 years of existence (1961 - 1975), the Central Base of the Southern Department has become the "command brain" of the Southern Revolution, where concretizing important guidelines and policies of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh. Here, many resolutions and strategic directives are formed and implemented on the whole battlefield, making an important contribution to the common victory of the nation. The establishment of this base has been recorded by history as a right and wise strategic decision.
With a huge role in both historical and educational values, on May 10, 2012, the Southern Central Military Commission Station was ranked by the Prime Minister as a Special National Monument. This is also a destination that attracts a large number of domestic and foreign visitors, especially young people.
After two restorations in 1992 and 2002, the relic site is still facing deterioration in some items after many years of exploitation. Therefore, this renovation project is of great significance, aiming to preserve the relic and enhance the experience for visitors.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - Acting Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, said: "The project to restore and embellish some items of the Special National Historical Site of the Southern Sub-Based Central Administration is implemented with a high sense of responsibility; the project is completed on schedule (within 6 months)".

Mr. Thanh shared: "The project has renovated and repaired a number of items and works, installed modern equipment, applied digital technology in displaying artifacts, and showing documentary films using 3D mapping technology. The project has been renovated and embellished to help the infrastructure and landscape become more beautiful, through digital technology, visitors to the relic can experience vivid and attractive historical images and documents".
Also on the morning of April 19, General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security, his delegation and leaders of Tay Ninh province offered flowers and incense at many locations in the relic site, expressing deep gratitude to generations of officers and soldiers who fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation.
