On May 19, Binh Duong province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the urban renovation project and construction of the Nguyen Sinh Sac Memorial Site.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by former President Nguyen Minh Triet; Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Secretary of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee and representatives of departments and branches.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said that the urban renovation and construction project of the memorial area of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac is a project of special historical, cultural and humane significance to the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Duong province.
The project was implemented in the period from 2025 to 2028, including the main items such as the church and the souvenir of the Nguyen Sinh Sac. The project will also build a display space, recreating the life and career of Deputy Nguyen Sinh Sac. Building a front square for community activities and traditional education. In addition, the project with urban landscape infrastructure is embellished synchronously, creating a highlight for the center of Thu Dau Mot city.
Investment capital is implemented in a combination of public investment and socialization. In particular, the construction of the church and memorial house of the memorial site was carried out with socialized capital invested by Becamex Corporation with a construction cost of more than 83 billion VND. The remaining parts of the project are invested with state budget sources to ensure efficiency and savings.
"The memorial area has an area of about 3.6 hectares and is built in the direction of an open, harmonious space, suitable for the architecture of Hoi Khanh Pagoda. The project was started on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025), with profound political significance and gratitude for the birth of Uncle - Uncle Nguyen Sinh Sac" - Mr. Vo Van Minh said.

In 1923, Nguyen Sinh Sac went to Thu Dau Mot and Hoi Khanh Pagoda with Venerable Tu Van and Tu Cuc Phan Dinh Vien to form a patriotic honor. The purpose of the Association is to spread patriotic thought, teach, and help people in picking up drugs.
