Prosecution and prosecution of 134,427 sources of information about crimes (reaching 100%); issued 97,694 requests for investigation agencies to inspect and verify sources of crimes; conducted 1,829 direct inspections; requested to prosecute 703 cases, requested to cancel 30 decisions to prosecute the case (increased by 50%); directly prosecuted to request investigation of 70 cases (increased by 233.3%).
Prosecuted and investigated 133,093 cases/239,756 defendants; issued 94,545 investigation requests; did not approve 681 orders and decisions to apply preventive measures; cancel 959 decisions on temporary detention.
The investigation agency has completed the investigation, proposed to prosecute 79,801 cases/174,017 defendants, suspended 2,700 cases/1,678 defendants (of which, suspended 4 defendants from committing crimes, reduced 11 defendants).
In 2025, there were no cases where the Court declared him not guilty. Handling 799 records requesting criminal equivalent legal aid (increased by 20%).
The Investigation Agency of the People's Procuracy resolved information about crimes at 91.8% (exceeding 1.8%); investigated 107 cases/269 defendants (an increase of 1.9% of cases and 31.9% of defendants).
The rate of crime investigation and discovery reached 90.7% (exceeding 20.7%), very serious and especially serious crimes reached 96% (exceeding 6%); the rate of asset recovery in corruption cases reached 85.9% (exceeding 25.9%).
The VKSNDTC has closely coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security and the Supreme People's Court in investigating, prosecuting, and strictly trying many major corruption and economic cases under the supervision and direction of the Central Steering Committee; applied measures to ensure and recover VND45,531 billion, of which nearly VND4,000 billion is under Resolution 164 on piloting the handling of evidence and assets.
Reviewing this content, Chairman of the Law and Justice Committee Hoang Thanh Tung said that regarding the practice of prosecution rights and enforcement of judicial activities in the criminal field, the Procuracy has directly canceled many decisions of the Investigation Agency without basis, contributing to limiting injustice, wrongdoing, and leaving criminals unknown.
The rate of timely prosecution and correct prosecution of crimes exceeded the target assigned by the National Assembly. The rate of appeal and review petitions and appellate and review petitions accepted by the Court exceeded the National Assembly's target.
"There have been no cases that the Procuracy prosecuted but the first instance court declared him not guilty. However, there are still cases where the investigation of the accused must be suspended due to no crime, the behavior does not constitute a crime", Mr. Hoang Thanh Tung stated.
Regarding the investigation of the Investigation Agency of the VKSNDTC, no cases have been detected or unjustly prosecuted. The rate of handling reports of crimes, the rate of investigation and discovery of crimes exceeding the targets assigned by the National Assembly, of which the rate of investigation and discovery of very serious and especially serious crimes reached 96%.
