On October 22, the People's Council of Kien Giang province held its 27th session (special session) to review personnel work and a number of issues under the authority of the Provincial People's Council. At the session, delegates voted to elect the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
With the result of more than 83% of the votes of the delegates in agreement, Mr. Le Trung Ho, Secretary of the District Party Committee - Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Thuan district was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province for the 2021-2026 term.
Mr. Le Trung Ho was born in 1983, from Giong Rieng district, Kien Giang province. He has a Master's degree in Party building and State administration, a Bachelor of Law, and a senior political degree. Before holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Trung Ho held the positions of Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Secretary of the District Party Committee - Chairman of the Vinh Thuan District People's Committee.
Also at this session, the People's Council of Kien Giang province dismissed Mr. Nguyen Luu Trung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - as a member of the Provincial People's Committee due to a change in work; dismissed Mr. Tran Minh The - former Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs - as a member of the Provincial People's Committee due to a change in work. At the same time, the People's Council elected Mr. Bui Phuoc Chau - Director of the Department of Planning and Investment as a member of the Provincial People's Committee.
